I have been phased out of my family by a bully brother.. he is 8 years older and spent a lot of my chilhood undermiming me and making me feel unwanted and unwelcome.. his wife joins in nowadays. The lack of confidence reaked havock in my life and I could never hold a Job back then till I got a bit older so this gave them more ammunition to make cutting remarks..
They have never let me babysit for my nephew and they are getting older now, He is a powerful character and a succesful guy, his wife lives off his success in a posh part of town.. I loath being around them. I dont know what the best thing to do is, I just never want to speak to them again but he has a great way of turning it around and making me look like the bad guy.. In my weakest moments I have some pretty awful thoughts about what id like to do to them but lets not get into that, Im doing martial arts these days and feeling a lot better about my self.. I have a decent career ahead of me and a lot is good but I still cant forgive them and dont wont to see them over christmas or ever again to be honest.

well if you are a fully grown adult ( i,m not sure of your age) then you are intitled to do what you like for xmas dont give into bullies just live your life and do what makes you happy and sod everyone else good luck
mboy,

If you are an adult with good prospects as you say, you do not have to keep being involved with all this c**p.

Just cut them out of your life and move on ,it will be their loss not yours. You don't have to get into confrontation, just do not be involved in any social contact with them and do not have them in your home.
It will not be easy at first , but they will soon get the message. Why do you have to see them at Christmas anyway?
What do you owe your brother? Nothing! You sound the better person mboy so don't beat yourself up about blood ties. Sounds like you're better off without the lot of them. Just concentrate on yourself and be happy.
Bullying usually comes from jealousy, this is going to probably sound strange, but use the negative comments and turn them into something positive, use them as a fuel to drive yourself forward, towards bigger and better things.

You are your own person, you don't have to spend xmas day with him, make your own plans and try and make that day special for yourself and those around you.

I hope you have a great day, whatever your plans. xx
Rewrite your life to include the things and the people that make you feel positive. As an adult who is in control of your own life choices, you don't have to allow this person to influence you from this point forward. Don't meet up with him if you don't want to - you did not choose him as a brother.
Don't damage your own karma by wishing harm or revenge - do good and positive things and forget about the rest. And let them babysit their own sprog.
