A question for the male ABankers (and any ladies that want to add their views).  Do you think that thongs showing above the very low hipster jeans that young ladies wear these days look attractive.

This is the link that prompted my question:

Hipster Jeans are fine Magicdice - in fact  wore them in the sixties and  I actually still find that they fit me better than the waisted variety.   Thongs are fine if you find them comfortable!  It's just that thongs that show above hipster jeans looks gross in my opinion.  I also find it revolting when girls/ladies bend over and show a 'builders bum'!

Perhaps I am showing my age here as I find it looks sleazy and scruffy and unfortunately a lot of the examples I see are on girls/ladies with loads of extra flesh which would be better disguised under attractive clothing - I am not discriminating here - I admit to having the unattractive extra flesh these days!  :o(

FP i agree completely with your original point, it is sleazy; i'm just defending my right to wear whatever form of underwear i choose with whatever jeans i like - but i promise i'll keep my underwear off display
I always keep my knees together & skirt pulled down so that my bloomers don't show when I sit down.

I was in a department store and saw a 15yo girl leaning over with hipster-type trousers - OMG - HOW BLOODY GROSS!! I felt like taking a 20c coin to her size 6 (which looked much bigger half hanging out!) builders butt... if it were my daughter it would be strung up!! :-)

Its like a cheese cutter! and disgusting to see! PUT IT AWAY! xxx

I always found that 'proper' knickers bunched up and gave me a wedgie anyway so I might as well wear something designed to do so and with less uncomfortable fabric. There's nothing more revolting than VPL, especially on a middle aged woman in polyester trousers so I think thongs are far better. I do always check it's not showing above my trousers though by doing the bend over test.

As a spectator I adore them.

But as a 49yr old male with a waist to match, I find them very uncomfortable!!!!!!

I'm a female of 49 and yes I do wear thongs, have done for quite some time. No I dont like to see underwear on display it looks awful, plus there is no need haven't these girls heard or seen "low risers". as for seeing mens undies where their trousers/ jeans are practically falling down I have this overwhelming urge to go over the person and pull his trousers up!!!

Going back to thongs, when I first started to wear them I couldn't understand why the pair I had on felt so uncomfortable. When I undressed that evening I found out why, I'd been going around with my waist in the leg hole and a leg in the waist!!! DOH!!!

I feel having underwear showing ANYWHERE cheapens the image.  Wearing make-up makes me feel better in myself and helps me prepare for the day.  Plus, when you take pride in your appearance and are well groomed, people take notice.  It's true you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover - but people do - unfortunatley - the way of the world.

I don't think that having a thong on show is attractive, far from it, although I disagree with one of the first posters who stated that thongs are not worn for the wearers benefit.

I regularly wear thongs, I find them comfortable, unobtrusive (you can't see them over or through trousers) and the fact that my boyfriend likes them is just an added bonus!
