I cancelled a job on my printer over half an hour ago. I've got other jobs waiting to print but they wont print till the first one has been deleted. I've clicked on the printer icon but it just says Deleting Printing. It's said that for more than 35 mins now. Does anyone know how to get rid of this? Thanks.

In my experience, you just have to bear with it.

I had an Epson Stylus Colour 600 that often used to take up to 25 minutes to delete a document from the print spooler. I never found an explanation as to why it took so long despite searching the Epson help files online. No one else seemed to know either, yet lots of people complained bitterly about it.
When I first experienced this delay, I used to try switching the printer off at its on/off switch on the front of the case. To my horror, I found that the first thing it would do on being switched back on was to print pages of random ASCII characters!

All the same, the Epson 600 has received more favourable reviews over the years than just about any other colour inkjet printer, so I forgave it this one annoying habit.
If in doubt, reboot the computer.

It seems to cure most things.
I picked this up from somewhere.
Go to My Computer, C:// windows\system32\printers - delete everything in folder - restart printer and print.
i appreciate what Hugh and Panic Button have said, but I tried both these solutions out myself with no success. Still, they may work for you.
