I have lots of towels from Primark, which have now gone rather rough and I want to buy some new ones. Is it false economy to buy cheaper towels, do they all go hard over a couple of years? I always use conditioner etc. by the way, I think they are just getting old and I wash them a lot.

I'd wanto keep it all clean the tidy and not use it, it would possibly be 'the guest towel' but I dont have guests

Well after all that, I put mine in the tumble drier quite damp - I usually wait until they are almost dry and put a damp tea towel in with them - anyway they were much softer ... so now I know what to do.
Well done.x
