The original is Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood by The Animals...

there was also the similar advert for dior with a woman almost swimming in gold and the music was barry white

i dont give a **** what the lyrics are, its a squeaky chick that bugs me.

Actually, the song in the advert is the original, by Nina Simone, first released in 1964. The Animals didn't cover it until '66.
