Fossil fuel resources .. so what.......

....if we fast forward thirty years and our fuel resources are so low that the world governments ban all personal use of the car (or other motor transport) to preserve whats left for essential services (vital transport of food / law and order etc). For Sure life would be different but would it be such a hardship?

Well, yeah!
Imagine if like there was no cars anywhere. How would you get around? You'd be stuck to walking distance which would kind of be like the middle ages. Not good in my mind - AT ALL!
