how to find someone in US

Is there an American version of Friends Reunited? I looked on Yahoo and Google but could not find one. Or a good site for finding people in America? Every few years I think I'd like news of someone I met 19 years ago, try a few websites, nothing ever happens and I give up again...

Try http://www.townstogether.com/ its a newish site so there may not be many people registered yet .. but its worth a try

www.classmates.com - it's been around for years.

Friends Reunited just copied an existing successful US site - Classmates.com, which Mikewith mentioned. Even the look and feel was the same.

 

But if you want to find someone in the US its a lot easier than finding someone here. Try www.whitepages.com, try yahoo people finder. If they've got a phone, or email, or used the web you can find them.

you can also try http://www.alumni.net/ which is worldwide but US-based.
