I feel good this afternoon.I've just made my 26th blood donation. As I have a rare blood type it is specifically used for new born children. Soon the blood of Sgt. Rock will be helping to save the life of newly borns.

I am a lot older than you, Sgt Rock. I do not recall giving out my age on here. For those of you who do not know about the platelet thing, it has to be done at a blood donor centre, and takes about 90 minutes. This can be done every three weeks.

Yes, as I say I donate my bodily fluids very generously.

I used to be called to our local hospital to give blood, either on the day of a particular op, or the day before it.

I had only given 13 pints when I started taking medication which meant that I couldn't donate.
