Mince pies

Im going to make a few dozen "proper ones " what do you like on yours ? i love the sweet white sauce that came in small tetra packs but i cant find it anywhere , the taste is gorgeous , have you seen any of the sauce anywhere?

patricia you can make your own using cornflour sugar milk and vanilla flavouring!!

patricia it is the same as making custard,if you can make that then you can make sweet white sauce,in fact look at the packet of custard powder for amounts and switch to cornflour instead of custard powder!!!

Ta, i do make lovely lump free custard so il have a go at the sweet white sauce

Brandy butter and sometimes squirty cream as well !!

Nice to see someone else still makes their own mince pies Patricia. My lot say they won't come round if I ever buy shop ones! lol

Mind you, I do like my own ones too & always put little trees on the Christmas ones & stars on the New Year ones.

I like them either on their own, or with a little single cream.

Naughty, but nice!
