Carrying on from the superstition thread (brilliant bytheway- should be post of the week..) it reminded me of the tales my dad used to tell me.

For instance: shooting stars & always making a wish on one. I saw hundreds of them during my childhood - my dad said I was blessed as most people saw very few. It wasn't until I was older & I saw my first real one, that I realised the 'shooting stars' my dad used to point out were in fact the tail lights off aeroplanes.,

My Nan used to make the best home made rice pudding in the World, No matter where else i would eat it, it just wouldn't be same, everytime i went to see her, me and my brother would always have a bowl of rice pudding, after she died we were cleaning out her pantry and it was full of tins of Ambrosia Rice Pudding!! She had been passing this off as home made!!! ;o( have had tins since, and still doesn't taste as good as my nans! x
