I have got many photographs arranged in folders on the desktop of my computer. These were taken by digital camera. Now I have tried to copy them all onto one DVD using the My Computer facility and copying one folder at a time. Unfortunately, the computer says that there is no CD in the drive whichever of my two drives I try to use. I have got a Pleomax 4X DVD-RW. It doesn't say whether it is plus or minus on the box.

What can I do?

windows doesn't support copying onto DVD using explorer, only CD's

to copy to DVD you need extra software, normally you would have got some with either the drive or the computer
if you didn't get any software, or have lost it :)

this should do the job

I think you would be better copying all the folders in one go, rather than adding one folder at a time to the DVD. For technical reasons a single write to the DVD is better than lots of small writes.

If I were you I would create a folder in My Computer called say "Photos08" or similar.

Then Move all the individual folders (and their contents) off the desktop and into the folder called Photos08.

That should leave you with one "top level" folder called Photos08, and under that each of your folders (and photos) that were on the desktop.

When you start to burn your DVD you only have to select one folder (Photos08) and all the folders underneath will also be copied to the DVD.
