This may seem a really odd question but what makes the clicking noise when you use the indicators ( specifically on a mk3 mondeo )

Is it the instrument cluster or is there a clicky thingy somewhere

???

Hi, do not worry about that sound it is the flow of currant (Power-Electricity) going through the relay & also the Indicator contact tucked into your Steering Housing
I always thought there was a clicky thing.

If they wanted it silent they could easily do so.
it's generally the relay clicking you can hear, but on some cars, normally ones where the relay is buried away so well it's bearly audible, they do have a special "clicky or buzzy thing" to provide an audible warning that the indicators are on.
