Me and my son's girlfriends mum both want to be called Nan when our grandchild is born.
But we both cannot be Nan!!!

My boys called my Mum, Nanna and their other nan was called grandma!

I think I will go with Nanna!

My daughter has two nannies and a nonnie, and two granddads, tho elsewhere in the family we have a bampi, a grampi and a ganga.

I had two nans and two grandads - I could always tell the difference.

I had maternal/paternal and step-grandmothers.

I called them all Granny. I also had 2 great-grandmothers and 2 great grand-fathers, who were called nana and gaga.

I have 24 cousins and we all did this! I don't recall any of us being confused.
