I am fuming .. I went to my local Tesco Direct counter to buy something for 24.96 and was told I have to pay an extra ~4.95 for delivery because the item was under 25.00 ! But I wasn't having it delivered .. I was going to collect it in store ! Now I know why the Tesco Direct counter is always empty. I will go to Argos and collect FREE !!

What's worse is that in our nearest Tesco, they ripped out the Cafe to make way for the Direct counter.

I have no plans to use it.
Thank goodness the enarest Tesco I have is a 5 minute walk, under an underground, sided by a dual carriageway..
I deffo wont be using it..

Let's all boycott Tesco's

Woohoooo :-)
It is in their terms and conditions:

10. Where are your Tesco Direct collection desks?

Choose one of our in store desks to browse through the catalogue, order and arrange pick up in-stores for 4.85 or FREE on orders over 25 at selected Tesco Direct collection desks. Our number of stores has been extended and more are being added in the coming months.

Just because it is in their terms and conditions doesn't mean it is reasonable.

Who else charges you to deliver to their own premises?
Homebase.

Another one to cross off the list!
ng too greedy i work for them and see it all !!!! one day there gonna come down with a biug bump and the sooner the better is what i say !!! hate the company just work there cause its convienent like the ppl just not them !!!
i agree, it terrible that they charge to deliver to the actual store, home delivery i can understand but not that
I'm already boycotting the place after spending a precious hour walking round the store getting all the offers for Christmas, only to find at the till that half the offers weren't even recognised as such! It makes my blood boil when the stickers aren't what they say they are or refer to something several bays down from the stickers. We don't all have time to get on our knees and read every bit of small print or look for colours or flavours - uurrgghh! Rant over!
exactly get what you can ! and just remember tesco promise is double the difference !!!! anything you get over charged for so if summint is on the shelf for 1.00 and you get charged 2.00 you should get 2.00 back ? but makesure you finish the transaction at the till beforeyou say anything then go to customer service as while yourat the till a supervisor can correct this and there argument wil b they havent charged you for this yet as you havent paid ! good luck
