Sara's dilemma..

at just after midnight last night something hit my patio window, and frightened the life out of me. when I was brave enough to peep through the curtains (with a torch) I could see the remains of an egg. there is no easy access to my back garden, or the gardens surrounding. I went to bed and slept badly, jumping at everything (and nothing!).

this morning I can see by the mess the angle it was thrown from, and quickly deduced that it was my neighbour's 13/14 year old sh!t of a son. they live 2 doors away, and he has a running battle with the house between us, and he is known to throw eggs (and bricks!) at their house. maybe this one went astray.

the father and son from that house are terrifying. the mother looks a bit of a quivering wreck (no surprise there). I've complained about something before and the dad scared the life out of me. the son goes to my kids' school and terrorises everyone, including my kids.

so... what to do? or should I just ignore it?

thanks NK, I think you're right but I hate that he gets away with everything x

omelette.. were you involved in this???

leg.. tempting!
Hi sara3, that sounds like an awful ordeal for you to have gone through.

I agree with no.knowledge try and ignore it otherwise do you have a friend or family member who could go and have a word with the father on your behalf? The kid sounds like a bully, are you able to have a word with his mum at school? However going by what you have said that may not help.
Question Author
thanks haysi.. I spoke to the mum once, and she took me away from the house so her husband couldn't hear. she whispered, "if you have any more problems can you speak to me and not (the husband) because.. you know what he's like".

the kid is out of control but the father doesn't care. I've seem them in their back garden having a fag together.. and the son is 13!
Sounds like a nightmare for you sara3 and I hope that you are not bothered by the same thing tonight :) he sounds like a right wee charmer!

and I think the son is famous at school. I'll bet half the teachers are scared of him. he's not just badly behaved, he really seems to have a screw loose.

or is the word infamous?

Call the police ..and make a complaint ...
as for the father ...not a role model ??
If you are in social housing take it up the
the managers ....if it's your property go
for an ASBO on the offender ...also make
sure the school is aware if your children will
be bullied by this child ..
I would get a catapolt (think I spelt that wrong?) and get a jagged stone and do the window in the middle of the night...if you can see there car from outside your house, do that one from the comfort of your own home.....BUT I would wait a few months...revenge is sweet!
talk to the lad in question himself maybe say i no you egged my window anymore problems the police will be called i have already filled a complaint against you , this maybe enough to scare him into calming down
Question Author
thanks to all. I don't think it's possible to scare this kid, unless a couple of huge men pinned him up against a wall by his throat. I just heard that he threatened to break another neighbours daughter's nose yesterday!

it's private housing, so no chance of anyone having a quiet word for the residents. and the school must know what he is like.

Steve, thanks.. I'm okay now but feel a bit pathetic! x

thanks to all :o)
Don't give up ..how about a residents group ?
and an action commitee ..get the neighbourhood
watch on board ...you can't be the only person
that he is awful to ?? Bet there are loads
of complaints against the young man ...
Question Author
thanks theonlyone.. that's something to look in to :o)
