How can I get TV5 Monde channel free?

Apparently Virgin Media are going to package TV5 Monde up into its XL subscription package in the next week. It is currently the only channel that we watch of all those in that package. Is there a way to watch it free?

Not legally - if you want it you have to pay for it.

Whats TV5 Monde?

I know Virgin are getting back Sky news, Sky sports news and Sky 1. 2, 3 and more. Starts on the 13th this month.

Buy yourself a cheap satellite system like the ones they sell cheap in places like Lidl or you can look on line and once set up you'll find hundreds of free channels - unfortunately very few French, though you will get both the TV5 channel for the world and for Europe(they show different shows at different times) As for cable TV you'll just have to phone your cable supplier and negotiate or pay through the nose for channels you really don't want.

Thanks. I'll try phoning Virgin and if that doesn't work I'll have to brave Lidl.
