thats part of it but you usually get the collectors with buckets!!!
I went into town today and there were quite a few shops participating in fund raising and had dressed up . The shopping mall had people with collection buckets , as did the bus station. Someone was in a pudsey outfit and the BHS teddy was collecting too . All the Bakers Oven staff had pudsey ears on and were dressed in pyjamas .
Oh , and in the centre they had men being shaved of their beards and having back and chest waxed hair removal for Children in Need . Ouch !
it makes me laugh when tesco and the like announce how much they are donating when its the customars putting the small change into the buckets at the end of the tills.
theres never a mention of us is there?
I got asked in the post office if i wanted to donate! I refused. Not that i dont want to but i do so hate being asked! thats not what charity is about to me !
That's a point dove , never thought of that . BTW did you hear the silly presenter thanking Boots for their cheque for 40 thousand pounds ? Silly seeing as the cheque actually was for 400,000 pounds .
I was just commenting to my daughter tonight that I had not seen any collection buckets or shop workers in mufti.......nor had I seen any with poppys last week.
