H1 and Route 55 from Loughton to Harlow. Are travelcards or Oyster cards accepted on either of these buses for travel?
Also, how much does it cost for a return journey with them? I have googled and not found it!
I think that route 55 takes less time than H1?
Can someone help me please as I need to know for tomorrow!

A return ticket to Harlow? Is that possible? I thought Harlow was a black hole from which nothing can ever escape! ;-)

As far as I'm aware, Loughton and Harlow are outside the Transport for London area, so Oystercards aren't accepted.

Service 55 takes 1 hour 10 minutes from Homebase, in Loughton, to Harlow Bus station. Here are the times from Homebase:
0738, 0828, 0930, 1030, then hourly.
(Buses call opposite Morrison's 4 minutes later).

The X1 takes 1 hour 4 minutes from Loughton Station to Harlow bus station. Departures times are hourly, starting at 0845.

Sorry, but the fares don't seem to be available on the web. Neither TWH (who run service 55) or Imperial (H1) seem to have websites.

NB: Return services are fairly limited.
The 55 comes back at 0950, 1050, 1150, 1250, 1420, 1520, 1600, 1620, 1720 (No evening service).
The H1 returns at 0955, 1055, 1155, 1255, 1355, 1510, 1555, 1730. (No evening service)
Evening travel means a bus to Epping and then the Tube to Loughton

I am actually going to be travelling from buckhurst hill. I can see from the link you have provided for me that its a bit quicker to take the central line to Epping and then take a bus from there. If only I knew what the cost of buses on each possible route were I could decide on the cheapest. Maybe I will just take the train to epping and bus from there as it will give me less of a headache.
