42% is way too high!

Never heard of them.
I wouldn't bother with that shoo, I got a 3000 loan with Nationwide. 3 years, 91 per month!!! The one you've been offered sounds like a comlete rip off!!!

Did you actually mean 42% or 4.2%??

A couple of the best rates for loans I know about are cahoot which is 5.8% and Northern Rock which I think might be even lower

Unfortunately, I expect shoo cannot get a loan from a standard bank such as Nationwide. If that is the case then he/she would most likely be very pleased to have some suggestions, not of the cheapest loans possible, but of the cheapest loans available to her/him. When I was in that situation I had to use Provident and you know high their intest is!

you should try Tesco Loans or Birmingham Midshirers.

I had loans with both & they was really good.

I got my loan from Tesco when no other company would give me another one

I have had a dreadful time with this company - they have rejected my guarantor even though I know they meet all the criteria required and yet the only reason I get is that my guarantor does not meet their criteria. This is the second time they have rejected my guarantor - I dont have anyone else I can offer them so now I am in a difficult position. Advantage Loans who passed me FLM have been totally unhelpful even though they were happy to take my money promising me the earth. I feel totally let down.
Why not search through MSN money? They have a link on there for the best rate loans.
It is more than obvious that the rate being queried is 42% - Yes FORTY-TWO. So how can Maggiemay be so insulting as to suggest it could possibly 4.2%. Either she is completely stupid herself or some sort of joker. Either way it is extremey offensive to hint that a person who is asking for help should be treated like that.

Hi been ripped off today same company have you got there number got strong words to say,and just reported them to trading standards..ha ha

yes i have sent the forms off ! thats what they have worked out 4 me . why is there somthing wrong with flm???
Yes i have been offered exact same loan 3000 over 3 years 42% and they want a guarantor too...i would be embarrassed to ask someone at my age to be a guarantor for me - and yes it is a rip off and i paid a 49.95 set up fee and now cant take the loan as i have to have a guarantor
I have been looking for a loan and was accepted to take a Loan out with FLM. After doing lots of investigations, I have decided to not proceed with an application. I think that they is something a bit "shady" about the company. My credit rating isn't great, so I know that a high street bank isn't going to lend me money. So after doing a google search I came across FLM. I did an application online and was accepted for a 3000 loan with a guarontor. I have to admit I thought it was a bit strange that they have asked me for this. After further investigation from my part, I have come across a lot of people posting messages on forums similar to this, talking about the bad the experiences they had with this company.I have to admit it didn't leave me with much confidence to proceed with the application. So I decided to call FLM,customer services to get some clarity re the guarontor and how it all works.I have to admit I was slightly put off by the abrupt nature of the "Customer Services" representative it was after that conversation, I decided not to proceed with the loan.I feel that I am so lucky that I decided not to go ahead with this, as I feel I have made the right decision.
