mp4 usb not recognised

hi there just bought an mp4 player and when connected to my computer it says usb not recognised. if i then click for more info it says that the ther are no drivers installed or something what does that mean and how can i fix it?!?really could do with some help!!thanks everyone . laura

no we didnt get a cd with it and there is no trademark on it what so ever so i have no idea what make it is!!thanks anyway
