i did and they advised me to talk to me solisitor who then told me to write a letter then if nothing happens get back to him but he will then start charging me.
or contact the tax office.

you say the ssp is wrong, how can it be wrong? are you on ssp or smp?

im on ssp as i have been on sick for the whole of my pregnancy as iv been in and out of hospital and advised not to work and need support when im walking, there are different rates of ssp depending on how many days you work and there basing it on the wrong amount of days which means i get paid less every month and some months i was in for a week or 2 but they havent paid me for them. i dont understand why therebeing horrable as before i fell pregnant i was always gettin employee of the month and phrased for my work so its not like im one of those that try and get out of work when ever i can
if you work 5 days a week then i think ssp is 75.40.

but ones you are past a certain gestation then you will only get maternity pay i think.

this may help you and your employer calculate what your due http://sspcalculator.hmrc.gov.uk/SSP01.aspx
If you have been over paid and you agree you have been, why are you surprised that they are not now paying you?? Seems you have already had the money!!?

This section is taken from the direct.gov.Uk site.....

If your employer doesn't pay you Statutory Sick Pay, or pays you less than you think they should, ask them to give you the reason in writing.

If you disagree with their reason, you can contact the HMRC Disputes Team Room BP 3202, Benton Park View, Longbenton, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE98 1ZZ or telephone on 0191 225 5221 and ask for a formal decision. They may need to arrange a medical examination.
