Has anyone got a reliable recipe for lactose-free ice cream? A friend of mine loves ice cream, but is lactose-intolerant and I said I'd try & find a decent recipe for him. Ta. K.

I'm lactose intolerant and have only found a bought lactose free one that you can get in vanilla at Tesco it's made by Swedish Glace and is really nice. holland and barrett do the vanilla and chocolate and other flavours but the only one I like was the vanilla but Holland & Barrett were a lot dearer. It's amazing how many more lactose free items there are now like margarine and ice cream and yoghurt. I can't get uised to soya milk and don't like any of the alternatives - so I have been having tonnes of soya yoghurts instead and I can manage the soya strawberry flavour milk. There is a new milk that is called lactate - that is meant to be virtually free of lactose but I'm too nervous to try it.
