border collie on leather sofa

My lovely border collie has been chilling out on my cream leather sofa. She was FILTHY after being outside.hence the cream is now a lovely muddy mess! Having swept the dried dirt off, I now need to know the best way to clean it, before I use the leather cleaner and conditioner. Any tips please>

For any doggie problems I use pampers baby wipes. After seeing how clean they get things I don't think I'd use them on a baby's bottom!!

I use baby soap with luke warm water rub gently and try not to over wet the sofa then give it a buff up with a dry towel.
