Hi, The water on out hot tap is dead slow. Its been like it since we moved here last year,,,,others in the block of flats have the same problem. Today we have consulted a plumber who says he can install a pump that will take him about an hour at a cost of around 180 all in. Does this sound a good price please. I'm an OAP and have no idea what to expect.

The water is heated via an Emersion Heater Thanks

Hi Droopy...............if your cylinder (in the airing cupboard) is a "combination" type.........that is.........top half is cold tank and bottom half is hot tank....................then I can see the problem...................the price could easily be around that mark.
Get another quote to be sure...........no harm in asking :o)
Hi,

If your tap is a mixer tap it will probably have a ceramic disc rather than a conventional washer, you need at least a 3 metre head above the tap in order for it to work properly. If it has a disc change the tap to one with a normal type of washer and that will solve the problem.
