Sainsbury's used to do some spicy veggie burgers but these are not *sausage* shaped. If these are rice based, then they would probably fall apart in the dish you are creating.

I know Redwoods sell (on line) some veggie cheatin chorizo sausages - here's the link to their site -

You should ask your veggie diners if they are happy eating meat tasting foodstuffs though....(which I think the Redwood's ones are, they contain TVP - textured vegetable protein - made from soya beans). I'm a lifelong veggie and don't like the taste of tvp or quorn (both of which taste like meat to me !)

Happy cooking !
Have a look in Holland and Barrett, they have some interesting veggie sausages in the chill cabinet. Sorry I can't remember the make, but there is tomato and garlic, and mushroom and chive (or something). What's more they are microwaveable.

Also ASDA do Linda McCartney veggie sausages. Again, they microwave - unusual for a sausage - taste brilliant, and are wonderful with a huge splodge of Colmans English Mustard.

If you want spicy, sprinkle them with liberal hot stuff before cooking, such as Bhut Jolokia or Fire Eaters.

Oooh, thanks for those suggestions! Will have a look at both.
