Since updating windows I can no longer play games on my pc (monopoly on playgames.com for example). I have been to Tools/Internet Options/Security and it had defaulted to high which I have lowered to Medium but it still won't allow me to enter these sites. After signing it comes up with the "The page cannot be displayed" message. I have all of the pc requirments to play (graphics card, spec etc) and I'm sure it's some sort of security issue, possibly something to do with cookies? Can anyone help, please?

Do you mean Service Pack 2?

If so just below the Address Bar you will see a blue line with a sheid to the left. Right click this and select 'allow'.

As this is there for protection I suggest reading the secuity notes it provides you with before doing so though.

bad spelling of shield sorry

I had the same problem last week, I couldn't get into any site where I had to sign in with a password.

My problem was caused by AVG antivirus which I had installed a few days earlier.  Removing this again solved the problem.

On some sites Internet Explorer (IE) looks for a security certificate or something similar, if your computer clock is wrong, IE thinks that said certificate is out of date and will deny you access.
