study law in good university

hi, i i want study law in a good university. i didnt do too well in my GCSE's. do you think i stand a chance to get admission to any top university in the UK. i mean does your Gcse results really matter? do they look at them? i thought they start assessing you from A levels?

You'll certainly need good A level. As for GCSEs, a good pass in GCSE English (grade A/B) is probably needed too. If you only have a two or three passes at GCSE that might count against you

GCSE point score is a good indicator of success at A-level. Most university admissions tutors use them. One top university will not consider applicants for its history course who score less than eight A* grades ar GCSE.

Check what the entry requirements are if you go to a "local" university - being from the local area can sometimes mean you are offered lower entry requirements, or that other achievements may be taken into account.
