The BBC received approximately 110 complaints about the screening of this short scene and yet ------

Now the BBC has been forced to issue a statement saying it did not mean to cause any offence by the storyline.

The BBC has received more than 200 complaints about the plot in which a paedophile grooms a 15-year-old girl.

This follows not long after a knife murder on the pre-watershed soap sparked 134 complaints after a dead body was shown.

No mention of the BBC issuing any statement of apology over these two larger complaints, I wonder why?

I've got no time for those that complain in shops, about tv programmes etc. It's like those that complained about the Jerry Springer play on tv. So many warnings about it yet I know a couple of people that watched just to see for themselves, then they complained.

For the record Shona McGarty in EE is 17 this month. I wonder if those that complained would have done so if the actress had been 20 but was playing a 15 year old. What if it was announced that Peggy Mitchell was 15. No doubt an uproar would follow that she is allowed to serve alcohol. Some people don't have a concept of reality. That's the real problem.

I am not really sure what they showed in East Enders.

If they showed him eating as we regularly eat and he was not fasting then there are so many people who do not fast. Smokers usually being on top of the list.

If they showed that he was fasting but before Sunset was eating something secretly. Then only thing I would say that he was fasting for the people and not for God. Had he been fasting for God he wouldnt have eaten secretly as for God there is no secret.

Whatever the reason, I would not complain about that as it is personal matter and his actions (even in real life let alone TV character) are his personal and I know in Islam I would not be held responsible for someone else's actions.
