Can someone out there please settle a dispute between my husband and me?!! How many papers did candidates sit for their "A" Level history exam in 1969?

That would depend on which examination board you are referring to.

Joint Matriculation Board. This is a far more convoluted debate than it appears and has to be resolved!
I think I sat two papers in 1975, for the Europe 1618 - 1789 option, for JMB, but I have fortunately erased most of the recollecton.
