if i take my cat to the vet and the vet decides to administer a steriod injection and/ or anti-biotic drugs can i assume that it would be good practice to check the cat's heart rate prior to administration of such drugs. tia

I saw your first post (http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Animals-and-Nat ure/Question632970.html).

I honestly don't know not being a vet but the best thing I could suggest would be to speak to the vets practice about it as only they know what clinical decisions they made, checks which should have been done and why.

It must be awful to see your cat suffering.

This is the place for complaining about vets, they may be able to give you some further information but may well suggest you take it up with the vet you used first.
