Sachs my work colleagues do my head in, they wont make a decision from at least 5 choices, we will end up with going no where!!!

Hi puddi, this is the thing! Luckily this is a set 3 course meal with dj till 2.00am. Just getting the deposits together!
sachs we have 2 houses together but separate, what makes me angry that the dark side dont bother organising anything always let us sort things lazy gits, but will expect a party of sorts, so when i could in a day i am going to get them told!!!

I know what you mean puddi, I've probably volunteered for years to come! lol!
I organised it last year and it is really hard pleasing everybody.

We had a budget and some wanted to have a nice meal and the other half wanted to drink the budget away in the local pub!!!

So compromising, we had a nice italian meal, couple of drinks in the pub then on to a bar/disco. It was good.
I was asked to do it this year, but I refused as it sent my blood pressure soaring!!!! Lol.
Our work usually leaves it till the last minute, but for the last few years they have had a 3 course meal at lunchtime then go into town for 'Mad Friday'.
Probably be the same this year but will be visiting family in Australia so can't go ;-)

Well, you can always come to ours distant danglee! lol!
Gee legs.......does that mean we did Xmas that night at Zizzzesssss?

lol

I don't expect a work - do from my boss because he is a greedy.selfish,inconsiderate ***.
I haven't been to a works Christmas *do* for years - simply because the boys always want to go to a pub that sells the cheapest beer and get totally tanked up. They only ever want to eat steak and chips, nothing tremendously exciting for them ! There is usually only one veggie option and the few times I have joined them, it's been a dreadful, hastily thrown together, bland, boring and overpriced sort of veggie meal.... One year I was presented with a still frozen lasagne and mushy carrots - for 15 !!!!!!

Hi pasta, I moved campus a few months ago & although it's much busier it's such a laugh! Everyone's up for a night out! We went out at the other place but it was all so very polite, just a meal, no music/ dancing. Really looking forward to this one, my friend I work with is just bonkers!! lol!
Oh Sachs! Have you any idea what you've let yourself in for? lol

My suggestion? Don't ask anybody what they want cos they'll never agree. Don't give anyone the details - other than venue and time - or they'll argue about what's on offer and if anybody says 'We should have done...' 'We should have had....' 'We would have liked....' just shrug your shoulders and say 'Well, nobody said.....' lol

Oh no Jugglering! lol! At the old place I worked, I joined the techies 'do' It was made up of us & the profs & was all very boring!! Think I had an out of body experience & transported myself to the nearest dive that had brilliant music pumping out! lol! Everone went home after the meal, it was always me and an old friend went on and didn't want the night to just fizzle out!
