Are there any parts of the bible which appear to advocate murder of a person by another person in certain instances, or is it a complete no no? Please don't use God as a reference in this as I'm aware of the fact that he murdered willy nilly. I'm talking about ordinary people.

I think you'll find that the bible covers most subjects but in a contradictory way - so just interpret it to suit...

Might not hold up in court though!!
How about Exodus 21, just after the tencommandments.

12 "Anyone who strikes a man and kills him shall surely be put to death. 13 However, if he does not do it intentionally, but God lets it happen, he is to flee to a place I will designate. 14 But if a man schemes and kills another man deliberately, take him away from my altar and put him to death.
15 "Anyone who attacks [c] his father or his mother must be put to death.

16 "Anyone who kidnaps another and either sells him or still has him when he is caught must be put to death.

17 "Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.

18 "If men quarrel and one hits the other with a stone or with his fist [d] and he does not die but is confined to bed, 19 the one who struck the blow will not be held responsible if the other gets up and walks around outside with his staff; however, he must pay the injured man for the loss of his time and see that he is completely healed.

20 "If a man beats his male or female slave with a rod and the slave dies as a direct result, he must be punished, 21 but he is not to be punished if the slave gets up after a day or two, since the slave is his property.

22 "If men who are fighting hit a pregnant woman and she gives birth prematurely [e] but there is no serious injury, the offender must be fined whatever the woman's husband demands and the court allows. 23 But if there is serious injury, you are to take life for life, 24 eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, 25 burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise.

It's a great area for showing the utter bunkum of it all. The same chapter tells me it is OK to sell my daughter.
Can't think of anything off hand. At least anythng that wasn't either instigated by God, or didn't have his backing. I'll keep thinking.
Murder is by definition a killing that is against the law. So it is always a no-no, even in the Bible, which tells of any number of killings that are approved of, instigated, or even carried out by god.

Panic Button, does it say who is to put the perpetrator of the father/mother cursing to death.
Not only murder but rampant genocide. In one of the greatest philosophical ironies of all time the disgusting Israelite tome glorifies the brutal genocide of dozens of tribes who inhabited the "Promised Land" given to the "Chosen Race" by their God.

The same deeds perpetrated against the Jews by the "Master Race" are decried as crimes against humanity. The only difference is the Israelite massacres were complete and left nobody to complain.

And for pointing out this hyprocracy I will be called an antisemite.
Beso, Whilst one crime does not negate the other, I wouldn't call you anti-semitic. You appear to be, quite simply, someone who is aware of, and admits to, the horrors recounted within the bible.
