P = p x g x h

Calculate the depth of the lake when, h, when

P = 3.9 x 10small5 N/m�
p= 999kg/m�
g = 9.81 m/s�

To find h you divide P by the product of p and g so 3.9 * 10^5 / (999*9.81) = 39.785 (3dp)
Suzyboo, my calculator tells me the answer is 39.795. But the reason I started to reply was because you should lose marks for not stating the units of your answer.
The depth of the lake is 39.795 metres.
