hedgehog noise

I have a dog and recently it has been wanting out in the middle of the night. We have spotted a hedgehog in our garden and were wondering if a hedgehog might make a noise that our dog might be hearing?

That's a pretty tame recording! We had one that would come into the garden and wake the neighbourhood with its grunts and snuffles, and loud squeaks of delight when it came across something edible.

my dog used to do this, he'd run down to the bottom of the garden & bark. I went down there to look one day & there was a teeny hedgehog stuck in the netting!! it was really sad but i got it out.

anyway..... sorry for the diversion!
I think it is more likely that dogs can smell them in the garden
