Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

That's quick, my first time here, amazing.
Now I try to understand the answer. stagger = totter, and totting - searching through rubbish, according to the dictionary. Or is there a simpler way?

Totter is to stagger and it is an old term for a scrap merchant

okay, ic. Couldn't find it in the dictionary. (I am not English, so I do struggle a bit.)

Stagger does indeed mean to Totter, and a search of Totter and Scrap Merchant on Google will show you that Totter can also mean Scrap Merchant. So
Totter = Stagger and Scrap Merchant

Chambers dictionary is very handy for Telegraph cryptic crosswords. This is what it has to say under tot:

tot3
n a bone; anything retrieved from a dustbin, rubbish heap, etc.
[Origin uncertain]
totter n a person who searches through dustbins and rubbish heaps for reusable or saleable items; a rag-and-bone-man, scrap dealer.

Thanks for the tip. I have a Collins dictionary, and it gives only 2 meanings for tot. I have very recently started trying to solve the cryptics, and it is great to get so much help here.
