Hi carliex, I'm 22 weeks and like you haven't put on any weight except for growing a bump (unlike you it's obvious i'm pregnant now!). I recently got some size 8 skinny flare jeans from the maternity range from Dorothy Perkins, and I find they are a good fit. The problem may be that you needed a size 6 in the clothes you've bought, but i can't recall seeing any maternity ranges that go down to size 6, but I'm sure theres some out there.
I find that the maternity ranges in 'fashion' shops seems to be nicer fits than those in maternity shops (like mothercare for e.g.) when you've only filled out at your bump.
You can buy those maternity belt things that allow you to wear jeans unfastened without showing. I have seen them on www.thebabycatalogue.co.uk
When I was pregnant I was the same as you and found that I was actually able to buy normal clothes but in the next size up.. I don't know if you have thought of this.. or the low slung jeans you can now get are quite good too.. I hope you have a happy healthy pregnancy and a beautiful bouncing baby. All the very best.
If you want to be really cheap, fix an elastic band through the button hole and then use it to loop over the button to give yourself some extra tummy room. A long top and nobody will even realise!

hey

i was like you when preggers. i was able to wear my normal clothes for quite a while then all of a sudden my bump got bigger and needed maternity clothes.

i made the mistake of buying cheap maternity clothes from places like peacocks and new look. i got a pair of combats from new look that were 15 unfortinataley as soon as i got them home the toggles snapped and i really needed them to keep the trousers up. took them back and the same happened so just got gift vouchers

i then bought black trousers from peacocks, thought they were great in the shop went out with them on one day. walked about 5 metres and they fell down. i had to run into claires accessories and buy hair clips to keep them up. that didn 't work so had to run into the nearest shop whilst holding up my trousers and buy a pair of jogger.

the tops from both these places were great. espeially the vest tops from new look. i was always worried my big belly would hang out and their tops were nice and long and covered my whole belly

so the moral of my story is sometimes cheapest isn't the best option

i ordered a pair of jeans from next and i must of wore them for most of my pregnancy. however, i did order linen trouseres (in a couple of sizes) with the high belly band and they were awful. but at least with next you can order online where you get a better selection than the shops and you can order as much as you like and send it back
