Some help with a novel i am writing?
In this novel my main character gets his girlfriend pregnant they are both 16/17. As i was much older and happily married when my kids came along. i am trying to get feel for what they would experience. i.e how school, friends family etc handle the situation Are there special considerations for teens to worry about. In labour are teens treated differently to adults. Any ideas would be usful.

I was 17 when i got pregnant with my first child, although i was happy and my family were all happy for us , my doctor treated me a bit differently, the first question he asked me was "do you want to keep the baby?" then went on to tell me how my life would never be the same and it was a big responsibility. I went back to the same doctor when i was pregnant again at age 22 and he never asked if i was planning to keep it!, just referred me to antinatal and now that i am pregnant a third time age 27 the first thing he said to me was congratulations!!!!

when other people found out i was pregnant at 17 the first question was usually are you with the dad? I think in this day it is quite unusuall for a young girl to be pregnant and be in a loving relationship instead of something casual.

The other thing i faced which was mainly from older relatives was getting asked when we were getting married and if we would do it before the baby was born .
