It would be helpful to know what question 44 was to give you a clue.

Did you forget that you are discouraged from cheating on GFQ and GBQ.? Much googlimg will lead to this answer.
There's still a month to go.
Here we go again!! Answerbank police out on patrol! To ask for a CLUE cannot be cheating - and there are actually 19 days to go in this quiz - not a month.
Well, freddiew , where IS your clue to gollymolly? Are you a giver or just a taker? Which question were you hoping was being asked here?
Bill asked that entrants to GFQ and GBQ don't ask for help on AB and other sites where the answers are made public. A clue IS helping.
So, how did you fare in the Music Section of AB for the Colour Question? I looked up colour in Grove's and there was the answer.
Well Tallulah, I was going to give a clue, but as someone had already given 2 - I decided not to bother!
However, I don't think either of the clues are any help, so my clue to gollymolly is "The answer is in your hand" .
I have completed all 50 of this months GFQ, and if anyone out there asks for just a CLUE, I will always be happy to help - of course if any of my answers are wrong then my clues will not help either!
I assume you mean the colour question in last months GFQ? Well I certainally did not find the answer on here, but I did get it right - I "phoned a friend" - and they told me the answer straight away - oh dear, that's cheating too isn't it!!
As I have said before - I don't think the question master has any right to dictate how people find the answers, so I will always continue to give clues whenever I can.
By the way, which question were YOU hoping to be posted on this site? - perhaps I can help.
freddiew, If I go to the trouble of running a Quiz and specify that answers should not be asked on a public website, to make it fair for all, then I expect my entrants to abide by that. I would say that as the Quizmaster I am The ONE person who is allowed to make the rules.
Yes freddiew . Why am I on this site? You answered it yourself by calling me the AB police. My computer resounds with the Hallelujah Chorus when a GFQ or Quizmail question is asked.
I don't need to ask for answers in week 1 of a quiz. I bet poor gollymolly is fed up with me...and you. And now someone else has joined in..
And yes I've finished too.
Phone a friend is acceptable because unless your phone is tapped the call is private. AB is open to all not just the poster.
Toodle-oo and Good Luck.
Ignore the AB Police. Feel free to ask ANY question on this site as per the notice on the home page.

"Ask questions, get answers. No matter how outrageous or practical your question may be, you will get answers from real people...."

Oh my word when I asked for CLUE, I didn't realise it would cause such consternation I am now trembling in a corner in case I get carted off to the ab police station! Haven't some of you got some knitting or similar to do to occupy yourselves? I have now finished the quiz and going to sunny places so don't bother to reply Bye Bye.
Podger123 - if you read gollymolly's question it states clearly in capital letters "CLUE ONLY" therefore this entrant is abiding by the quizmaster's rules by NOT asking for the answer.
As long as I am not actually giving anyone an outright answer I will contine to give CLUES if I can and Tallulah can continue to be the AB police for as long as he/she wishes - it won't make any difference to me.
Happy holidays gollymolly - glad you have finished the quiz and got your answers posted off in good time, and good luck!
