Don't bother. Anyone with any idea about keeping their computer safe will put your ecard straight in the bin.

Indeed. A popular virus "Antivirus 2008" is sent via a mesage saying "You have recieved a greeting card from a friend". As beso says, most people will have the sense to delete these things.

I've used Hallmark for a few years now - no problems at all.

The 'From' field of the email is 'Hallmark Cards', and the 'Subject' field is 'You have received a Hallmark eCard from xxxx' where xxxx is the name which you enter, not 'You have received an eCard from an admirer/friend etc' that you would get from a dodgy site.

free cards and screensavers are notorious for malware

don't realy see how sending a freebie is meant to mean anything.... the insurance companies insist on doing it .... I bin those as well
