does anyone know if you can fit a dump valve to a xantia 2.1 turbo diesel?

well some companys are selling "diesel dump valves" but as far as a proper blow off valve works they just cant on a diesel as you have no throttle butterfly, and no excess boost presure to release anywhere.
(its one of the main reasons that turbos last so much longer on diesels)
