Does anyone know of a website where I can get information on how to repair a 6 year old 15" Panasonic TV?  The picture has shrunk to nothing in the centre of the screen. I guess there's a dry joint somewhere but short of dabbing my soldering iron on every joint is there any way of establishing just where this offending joint is?

i think that adjusting the rings around the tube or the magnets on the side might help but if u have a line instead of a picture it is a transformer gone. the best solution probably is to dump it knowing modern ultra minature stuff whose size is directly proportional to it's repairability. by the way the tube works at about 15'000 volts so be carefull even after u have switched it off !
trust thunderchild on this one, even with the power unplugged the capacitors can still hold alot of voltage. yes enough to kill you. you could try to find a cold solder joint but you will be much better off taking it to someone who will do free estimates. the tele may not even be worth it considering you can get a 15 inch tv pretty cheap these days.
