I see that Kerry Katona has been made bankrupt because she couldn't come up with 82 grand that she owed the tax man, why couldn't she have sold some of the expensive cars she's got, she surely doesn't need all of them!

Because (apparently) she has the money due but it hasn't cleared yet. Once it's through she can pay her debt, have the bankruptcy removed, and go on from there, so why sell her stuff just for a few days. That's the story anyway - we'll see.

what a load of old crap about having the money and the 'cheque' not clearing! she had known from february that she owed the money and simply hasn't paid it - it should come as no surprise to anyone that when you earn money, you have to pay tax on it. either there is an accountant somewhere who is going to be very sued or (much more likely) this chavvy individual has finally had the reality of life catching up with her. what a shame - from having everything to coming back down to earth with a big bump. that's what you get when you resign from a band, divorce your hubby (ok he cheated, but he earnt lots more money than she did) and marry a blood sucking leech (the taxi driver husband) - and then don't adjust your lifestyle to fit in with these changes. self-inflicted misery, i'm afraid - no pity necessary...
