Is it possible to download message alert tones in the same way that you can download ringtones?  I'm bored of the regular nokia beep-beep beep-beep!

I know I can use any ringtone for text message alert, but I don't want a whole tune every time I get a text!

Genally on newer phones they have a certain time limit for text message alerts, say 10 seconds. If you have a short clip, of say 2 seconds, it will play this five times. You can download these short clips easyily enough. I have Cartman shouting God-Dammit, and homer saying D'oh over and over again. To be honest, theyre ok for a while, so I would recommend getting something half-normal.

Use your GPRS on your phone and go to www.party-mob.com then scroll down to ringtones, then sfx. They have a lot of short things in here.

Also, your network should have some form of download site. Im with o2 and the have o2 active stored in my fone.
