corsa engine light

Hi, i changed the oil on my girlfriends 96, 1.2ltr corsa and when i re-started it the engine managment light never went out, have had a quick look around and can find no loose wires, any ideas? there's very little electronic stuff on it but even so im stumped, cheers

will need plugging into diagnostics to find out what the fault is,could try disconnecting the battery for 30 seconds & see if that clears it but make sure you've got your radio code as you may need it so be ware.
just a thought depending on what engine it is,if the oil filter is at the front some of the engines have the crank sensor there & you may have knocked the plug-so check it

thanks for the help, checked the crank sensor as you suggested, and it was loose, did it up and job done, thanks again
