I have to get up early to drive to work, this means driving along country roads where rabbits sit hypnotised by my headlights. No matter how much I try to avoid them, I cant help running them over, each time I look in my rear view mirror I see little fluffy lop eared sad eyed baby rabbits flying through the air with the greatest of ease.
Anyone know a way of getting them off the road?

Bucket and shovel ?
A hard yard broom should do it.
Accelerate hard... hopefully then the impact will spin them up and over the roadside hedge so you won't have to worry about scraping them off tarmac.

Do you drive slowly and beep? Is there an alternative route?
drive slower. killing innocent animals, death threats, 2 faced. oh dear the list goes on and on john
You could make a rabbit pie!!!
Shout out the window and point into the nearest field 'ooowww look a carrot!'

or just drive slower and beep.
Why drive slower?

Think about it ... if you were driving 10 mph faster, you would have been past the "impact point" before any of there rabbits had run out into the road.

Drive Faster ... Avoid Accidents

... is my motto.

The simple solutions are often the best, thanks jayne I'll try that tomorrow and see what happens

WATCH THIS SPACE!!!
I'll give you a 1,000 if you u hit a chav with a criminal record.
Its this years babies and they haven't learned the Green X road rules.

The grass is sweeter with the morning due.......so be careful and don't kill 'em all. At least, with road-kill, clear them off the road so further carion don't meet the same fate. You could take them home and make a delicious stew instead of wasting 'good food'
Aww, thank you for my stars, 4GS. I love them xx

By the way, other "accident avoidance" tips ...

1. Buy a soft top and have the roof down (improves all round visibility)

2. Wear sunglasses on the top of your head (keeps distracting hair under control)

3. Have music on loud (prevents you being distracted by unexpected noises ... cos you can't hear them)

4. Drink coffee as you drive (the need to concentrate on not burning yourself means that you really focus on your driving)

5. Wear a revealing titty top (keeps you cool, and means that your arms are not restricted by too much clothing)

6. Put on make up as you drive (means that you are regularly checking your rear view mirror, which is very good for road awareness)

7. Communicate clearly with other road users (if the car in front is going too slowly, a helpful "w@nker" gesture can draw the driver's attention to the fact that he is causing an obstruction, and will enable him to take appropriate action ... by getting the f*ck out of your way)

Cheers jayne, unfortunately I can't do no's 2, 5 or 6 seeing as I'm a man
4GS, you could do no. 2

I think guys look quite good with the "sunnies on head" look. It looks cool.

(Not as good as me, obviously, but quite good)

Joggerjayne, did you write those tips yourself? They're good. But you're wrong about men looking good with sunglasses on their heads, especially if they're bald and have got no hair to keep out of their eyes, what's it about?
Hi notafish

Yep, all mine. Made them up as I went along

(not as I was going along in my car obviously - I don't write and drive, cos I'm too busy doing my make up and watching my coffee)

They are really good tips, you cheered me up :-)
LMAO @ Jayne!!

I use tip number 7 regularly :o)
