Hi lea83...I would go with the vet, not after six.It will be better for your cat in the long run.Good luck for your kitty.g.
listen to your vet if you give your cats there dinner at 4 or 5 and then take what is left away at about 6, they probs will get p****d off but it is best to listen to what the vet who is doing the op said. hope everything go's ok x
I'd go with not feeding them after 6pm on Sunday evening AND I would keep them indoors for that evening, just in case they decided to raid the local bins for their nocturnal snack.... keeping them indoors would also mean that they were actually available to take to the vets on Monday, rather than them working out that summat was up and doing a vanishing act on you ! Give them their dinner, then remove the food bowls and any dried stuff left out (I think they can have water though until the morning - but whose cat is ever seen actually drinking water ???). You will probably need to put out a litter tray if you don't already have one for them.
It depends on the time of the operation, and as you friend presumably does not work at the same vet then she probably won't know what time the ops will be. Therefore I would go with what the vet says, you would never forgive yourself if they choked on their dinner whilst under the anaesthetic, or if it had to be cancelled if they sicked up their food before being put under.

depends what time the operation is we normaly start at 9am so therefor no food after 7.30pm the night before. its ok for the cats to drink water.
