What are you going to insure it against?

Do you believe anything will happen to it for which you may need recompense?

Do you believe anything will happen to anybody who may go on to it and that you will be liable for it happening because of your negligence?

If not, dont bother.

Why do you keep doing this, DrisgirI?

You might get a better response if you made your irrelevant posts elsewhere.
technically yes you should - even if there is no public right of way or access - as in law a landowner even has a duty of care to a trespasser - believe it or not!
So if someone strayed on to the land and was injured - even say by stumbling in a pot hole, they could sue you ....... public liability cover should not be expensive if you have nothing overtly dangerous on the land ..... but most insurers have a minimum premium for public liability - often around 140 per annum.
Does the land adjoin your house or other property? If so you could probably ask your household or business insurer to cover it under an existing policy.
