Old coins showing up name for Wyoming in a different state (6). ?R?N?N

Only words I can find are: Cronan, Cronin,Sranan and Uranin. Of these Sranan seems likliest, but can not see how it fits the clue.

Hi Aperio ... Old coins may possibly be KRONEN former silver coins of Austria, and also former gold coins of Germany, but I'm in the same boat as you ref Wyoming etc??
Just a suggestion - Kronen were old gold coins. Ken could be Kentucky but I cannot see any connection with Wyoming.

Thanks Sarumite & Argee.

I think "name for Wyoming" means replace WY by N, but still can not explain the clue.
