After operating the release lever inside the car and the lever under the bonnet, the bonnet will not open.

Hi, It seems the cable has either stretched or come away from the hooking point on the catch, If you go beneath the front of the car with a long screwdriver, point the driver up towards the middle area of the catch you should be able to release the catch.
