Fitting a larger hard drive I managed to bust one of the connection pins on my Floppy drive (Don't ask) I need to format does anyone know if It's possible to boot into dos without a floppy drive? Or is there another way I can format the drive? My operating system is XP Pro. Yours...........gutted Cambridge U.K. __________________

Without re-booting I can't remember but I think you may have a problem. If I remember right, as from 2000, Microsoft stopped using DOS to base their OS's on.
you can format a drive using the XP installation CD.
